Parents, we know that sending your child to the Leadership Summit is a big investment for you and your family. We also know that life happens. For the added peace of mind, we have partnered with a leading travel insurance provider TripAssure to offer you affordable Travel Protection Plan with Cancel for Any Reason Benefit.
The Travel Protection Plan is offered through TripAssure and can be purchased for $227 during your registration or after (up to April 15). It can be used before and during summit travel for the following coverage:
Trip cancellation and interruption
Trip delay
Baggage and personal effects delay, loss or damage
Accident and sickness medical expense
Emergency evacuation
And best of all - Cancel for Any Reason benefit*
*Cancel for Any Reason benefit is not available in New York.

Can I buy the coverage if I am already enrolled? - Yes, you may purchase the coverage up until April 15th for the upcoming summer programs.

What happens when I have to cancel? - If you must cancel, Ambassador Leaders will provide a refund according to our Cancellation Policy referenced below and in our Terms & Conditions of Participation, and TripAssure will refund the following:
CANCELLATION FEES AND REFUNDS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Due to the public health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Ambassador Leadership Summits were rescheduled to the summer of 2021. All students enrolled in the 2020 programs received priority placement in the 2021 sessions. Families who opt to cancel will receive a refund of all monies paid, less the $300 cancellation fee which was in effect prior to March 1, 2020, when we implemented a fee freeze to mitigate financial impact on our families. The spread of COVID-19 occurred after significant investments had been made on behalf of our participants. The $300 cancellation fee covers only a small portion of those expenses which Ambassador Leaders cannot recover. This fee will remain non-refundable for participants who transferred to 2021 sessions. The cancellation fee will increase closer to the new session date per the standard cancellation policy (refer to the table above).
Ambassador Leaders is not an insurer and does not have any liability for any coverage amounts or the authority to alter, extend, amend, or modify any of the insurance provisions, conditions, terms, or coverages. Ambassador Leaders is not authorized to answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions or conditions of any of the insurance coverages in the plan or to evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance coverage. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this plan with your existing life, health, home, and automobile insurance policies. Purchasing a travel protection plan is not required in order to purchase any other products or services offered by Ambassador Leaders.
