Terms & Conditions of Travel for Program Leaders and Staff

Thank you for your interest in serving as a program leader or program staff member on Ambassador Leaders programs.  We value the relationships we create with teachers, students and families. It is important that you read these Terms and Conditions of Travel and fully understand your perspective role before applying.

Your acceptance into the program is dependent upon availability of assignments, review of your qualifications, and successful references and background inquiry. Your participation is conditioned on your express acceptance of these Terms and Conditions during the application process via your electronic signature. We may update, edit or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice. You may view and print the most current Terms and Conditions now and at any time at AmbassadorLeaders.com/leader-terms.

For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, both program leaders and program staff are referred to collectively as program leaders.

If you have any questions, please contact us at info@ambassadorleaders.com.

PROGRAM LEADER Requirements and responsibilities

Program leaders are an integral part of our program. The requirements and responsibilities as a program leader are:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older. Additional age restrictions may apply for staff positions requiring operation of a rental vehicle.

  • Must be a credentialed teaching professional or have other qualifications in a relevant professional field, determined at the discretion of Ambassador Leaders.

  • Must submit to a background inquiry.

  • Complete the required training, delivered electronically and/or on-site prior to the program.

  • Complete CPR and First-Aid training, if not already certified or certification isn’t current.

  • Deliver Ambassador Leaders curriculum and facilitate group learning, or perform staff responsibilities as assigned, and create a positive and educationally stimulating environment.

  • Represent the values of Ambassador Leaders and help deliver on our commitment to inspire and equip future global leaders.

  • Serve as a positive role model for student participants and fellow program leaders.

  • Follow the safety guidelines provided in your training, and ensure students are adhering to the standards of safety and conduct.

  • Participate in the entire program and all activities. The programs are physically demanding and may include up to 5-10 miles of walking daily. Please review the program itineraries to ensure you are able to participate fully, and contact the program office if you have any questions.

traveling with a family member

The program leader may travel on the same program with his or her family member (spouse or domestic partner, if both are assigned to the program; or his/her child, niece, nephew, or grandchild if the student is enrolled in the program), as long as the family member’s participation doesn’t interfere with the program leader’s ability to fully meet his/her responsibilities on program, including the on-site training. In order to provide the enrolled student who is a family member a full educational experience and not impact the experience of other students, the program leader may not be assigned to serve as his or her family member’s team leader or roomed with the student; however, he/she may participate on the same program.

program assignment and participation

Ambassador Leaders has sole discretion in all matters concerning program assignment and participation and reserves the right to accept or decline any person with or without cause, or remove a program leader either prior to or during the program for any reason and without obligation to that individual. Ambassador Leaders does not discriminate based on race, national origin, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by applicable law.

Upon the program leader’s acceptance of assignment, Ambassador Leaders incurs significant expenses arranging travel, accommodations and making other arrangements for the program leader’s participation on program. In the event of an emergency or unavoidable circumstances whereby the program leader cannot fulfill his/her assignment, all reasonable efforts must be made to notify the program office as soon as known and no later than 30 days prior to the departure date. Failure to notify the program office in a timely manner may affect future assignments at the discretion of Ambassador Leaders. The program leader is not eligible for reimbursement of incurred expenses or any other financial liability without prior explicit authorization of a program office representative.
