If you want to attend a Leadership Summit, YOU CAN. These 4 simple steps will help you get started.

As with any worthwhile goal, raising funds for your program takes time and hard work, but it’s a journey worth taking. And the best part: you can have a ton of fun along the way! Below are a few tips to help you get started on the road to fundraising – all it takes is you taking the first step.

  1. Start now. The earlier you start, the better – summer is closer than you think! We understand you have school, maybe sports and schedules can get busy around the holidays. Make fundraising a priority early on and you can cruise into summer with no worries.

  2. Get brainstorming. Write down every idea you come up with, because that makes you more likely to follow through. Bounce ideas off your friends, research what’s worked for other students, get creative and look to your local community for ideas. The more ideas the better.

  3. Mix it up. Work on small funding activities while you’re planning bigger ones. Small activities could be focused around the holidays (bake sales, holiday gift wrapping, etc.) while bigger ideas could be an entire event or month-long campaign.

  4. Be proactive. Talk about your goals to friends, family, and your social media community. When you’re excited and engaged in paying your way, other people will be too.

You are not alone in this! Our team is here to answer questions and help you along the way – good luck and happy fundraising!
