Anecdotally, we’ve seen plenty of proof that Lead4Change’s service-focused leadership curriculum impacts not just those in the community who benefit from Lead4Change projects but also the students who are transformed by the organization’s powerful lessons. That’s why we’re committed to sharing Lead4Change’s curriculum with students attending Ambassador Leadership Summits at Harvard, UCLA and Yale.

Lead4Change recently released evidence-based research confirming what we have observed at the Summits; students who complete Lead4Change curriculum report significant growth in their overall leadership and teamwork abilities.

In the 2018-2019 school year, 455 middle- and high-school students took surveys before and after completing the Lead4Change curriculum. The surveys asked students to self-assess their leadership and social emotional skills based on ten key factors like self-confidence, motivation and respect for others.

While all students reported improvements in some key factors, more than 40% of students said they improved their leadership and social emotional skills in every single key factor they were asked to assess!

So, what does this all mean? It means that students who complete Lead4Change’s curriculum feel that they’ve developed the necessary skills to be effective leaders and teammatesand that they’ve gained those skills while learning the importance of service and taking action.

Lead4Change encourages students to set and pursue BIG goals. Here at Ambassador Leaders, our BIG goals for students are simple: be effective leaders and individuals, succeed in team settings, and practice service-driven and action-oriented leadership. It comes as no surprise to us, given the quality of the Ambassador Leadership experience and the Lead4Change curriculum, that more than 90% of our 2019 student leaders reported achieving all three goals!

We’re proud to work with Lead4Change and excited to share research that shows how introducing our students to their curriculum helps all of us achieve BIG things!
