Push your limits, build confidence and take ownership for your own success as you work with your team to solve problems and overcome obstacles together. At the specially designed workshop Creating a Leadership Legacy® held at the iconic Disney California Adventure® Park you'll discover your leadership brand and be inspired to achieve the impossible.
make aN IMPACT
Prepare to make a difference by developing a meaningful Community Action Plan and give back to the local community through a hands-on service project. In the process, you'll learn how to take on and accomplish Big Goals—in any area of your life, and earn 20 service-learning hours.

Sample Summit Itinerary
DAY 1: WELCOME, AMBASSADOR LEADERS!
Arrive on UCLA campus and check in to the Summit. After saying good-byes, parents can attend an optional brief orientation, while students join their peers for icebreakers.
Enjoy the welcome dinner and opening address, and get to know your teacher leaders and staff who will guide you during the Summit.
Meet your group and get to know your teammates as you review the exciting week ahead.
DAY 2: CHALLENGE YOURSELF
Push your limits during a hands-on team building experience at Fulcrum Leadership Institute. Build trust with your team as you problem-solve and overcome obstacles together.
Discover the key steps to constructing an effective community action plan and learn about the Lead4Change project your team will develop during the Summit.
Hear from UCLA Admissions Officers about UCLA and how to stand out in the competitive college admissions process.
Take part in a College Life Panel with UCLA students and hear firsthand what college life is really like, then put together your own college wish list.
Dive into your team project – start by examining what personal strengths you bring to the team and what you can learn from others.
DAY 3: make a difference
Give back to the local community through a hands-on service project with United Way. Learn how you can make your community action plan go further.
Explore UCLA campus and learn about its unique traditions and culture during a campus tour led by UCLA students.
Get inspired to go after your dreams when you hear from a motivational speaker Christine Simmons, COO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a proud UCLA alumna.
In your team, advocate for community needs, decide on your Big Goal and create a vision for your Lead4Change project.
DAY 4: build your cq
Examine the issues of prejudice around the world and learn how you can be an agent of change during a multimedia experience at the Museum of Tolerance.
During the Global Youth Panel with your peers, consider how you can build your cultural awareness (CQ)—a must-have skill for today’s workforce.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of a WNBA Champion team Los Angeles Sparks. Learn how these talented women lead on and off the court, then enjoy a Sparks game!
Develop an action plan for your team project, then learn how to get stakeholders onboard and how to overcome barriers to success.
DAY 5: create your leadership legacy
Visit the iconic Disney California Adventure® Park and discover Walt Disney’s secret of making dreams come true. Take part in a specially designed leadership workshop and learn how you can take ownership for your success and achieve the impossible.
After the workshop, see Walt Disney’s dream in action and explore Disney California Adventure® Park with your friends.
Back on campus, put the finishing touches on your project and polish your presentation – tomorrow is a big day!
DAY 6: celebrate — l.A. Style!
It's your time to shine! As a team, present your Lead4Change project and get feedback. Take the new skills with you to make a difference in your home community.
Explore the vibrant city of Los Angeles, from the hills of Hollywood to sun-soaked beaches. See the iconic LA theaters and become a star for a moment on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Celebrate your accomplishments and enjoy a special evening with your friends at California’s must-see, Santa Monica Pier.
DAY 7: Lead with passion!
In the morning, bid farewell to your friends and teacher leaders. Remember to lead through service as you go after your dreams. We are counting on you to do great things!
